The origin of Swim Academy Turbo

Before this, the name was swimming school Meester Aziz and then swimming school Turbo

The founder of Swim Academy Turbo is instructor Abdelaziz el Khamssi, who has been active as an instructor since 1999.

The ‘Swimming instructor of the year’ is from Rotterdam (the Netherlands).

In the finals he (swimming instructor Abdelaziz) had to give swimming lessons to a group of children in a swimming pool in Koog aan de Zaan together with two other finalists from Bemmel and Mijdrecht. A jury decided that Abdelaziz el Khamssi was the best. The jury chose him because he managed to make the children feel at ease due to the calm he exudes and also managed to challenge them to learn. Khamssi convinced the jury through his varied lessons, his interaction with the children and his clear passion for swimming education.

During this election the jury looked at passion for the trade and focus on the child. The Rotterdam swimming instructor can now call himself the best swimming instructor of the Netherlands. This is the third time the prize is awarded.
